Stoatmod / Command troubleshooting

Fix commands that do not respond

Separate a missing response from an action failure: first prove the bot can see and reply in the channel, then test the requested operation.

Basic checks

  • Check the live status page.
  • Use ~help or ~info as a simple response test.
  • Confirm View Channels, Read Message History, Send Messages and Send Embeds.
  • Use the documented command syntax.
  • Check whether the command requires server-owner, Manage Server or delegated dashboard access.

If a response appears but nothing changes

Treat this as an action failure rather than a response failure. Check hierarchy, target IDs and the specific permission, then inspect the real member or role state and the case or audit record.

Escalate with evidence

Provide the time, server and channel IDs, exact command, expected outcome and observed server state. Never send dashboard login codes, session cookies, appeal codes or private evidence in a public channel.

Ready to configure a server?

Install Stoatmod, then verify the first outcome.
