Stoatmod / Manual moderation

Mute, kick and ban actions

A command response is only one part of the operation. Verify the member's real state and include a clear reason for every moderation action. Removing a case is the exception.

Commands

~mute USER_ID [DURATION] REASON

Mute with a required reason. Put the duration before or after the reason, or omit it for a one-hour mute.

~unmute USER_ID REASON

Remove the mute.

~kick USER_ID REASON

Remove the member from the server.

~ban USER_ID REASON

Ban the member from the server.

~unban USER_ID REASON

Remove the server ban and record the reason for reversal.

Flexible mute syntax

Use a member mention or user ID. These forms both mute for 25 minutes: ~mute @member 25m repeated spam and ~mute @member repeated spam 25m. Omitting the duration uses one hour: ~mute @member repeated spam. A reason is always required.

Important: Durations support 25m, 2h, 1h30m and 25 minutes, up to four weeks. Unmute, unban, warn, kick, ban, application decisions and verification bypass also require a reason; case removal does not.

Pre-action checks

  • Use the exact Stoat user ID.
  • Confirm the bot role is above the member.
  • Confirm Timeout, Kick or Ban permission for the chosen action.
  • Choose a duration within server policy.
  • Write a reason that supports later review.

Post-action checks

  1. 01

    Read the command response

Record any permission or hierarchy error.

  2. 02

    Check the member state

Confirm the timeout, removal or ban in Stoat itself.

  3. 03

    Review the case

Make sure its status and reason match the actual result.

  4. 04

    Correct discrepancies

Use moderator notes and a manual recovery action rather than leaving a misleading success record.
