The walkthrough

How it works.

From your settings to the result your team can review.

  1. 01

    Open the appeal

An eligible member uses their appeal code and matching Stoat user ID to access the private form.

  2. 02

    Add context

The member submits a statement and optional evidence for the team to review.

  3. 03

    Record a decision

A moderator accepts or denies the appeal with a reason.

01

Eligibility and privacy

Eligible server actions receive a ten-character appeal code tied to the affected user ID. Initial statements must contain 20–2,000 characters and may include evidence images. Global bans do not use the server appeal portal; the only appeal route is admin@modstoat.site.

02

Possible outcomes

  • An accepted warning appeal can remove the warning from active counting.
  • An accepted timeout appeal can request timeout removal.
  • An accepted server-ban appeal can request an unban.
  • A denied appeal records the moderator's decision and reason.
03

Moderator commands

~appeal CASE_ID accept REASON

Accept an eligible appeal and request reversal.

~appeal CASE_ID deny REASON

Deny the appeal and record the reason.
