    Choose the roles

    Add the role IDs that new members should receive.

  2. 02

    Check access

    Give Stoatmod the required permissions and place it above those roles.

  3. 03

    Welcome a member

    The bot attempts to assign the configured roles when a new member joins.

Requirements

Multiple roles are supported. The dashboard limits the configured list to 25. Role attempts occur before join verification is applied.

  • Assign Roles and Manage Roles permissions.
  • The Stoatmod role above every role it must assign.
  • The target role suitable for automated assignment.
  • A real test join after configuration.

Commands

~auto-role ROLE_ID

Add a role using the short form.

~auto-role add ROLE_ID

Add a role explicitly.

~auto-role remove ROLE_ID

Remove one configured role.

~auto-role list

Show every configured automatic role.

~auto-role clear

Remove the complete automatic-role list.

Set up a welcome flow

  1. 01

    Run setup

    Resolve permission and hierarchy problems before adding the role.

  2. 02

    Add the role ID

    Copy the role identifier from Stoat and add it to the automatic-role list.

  3. 03

    Try a new-member join

    Have a controlled account join after configuration.

  4. 04

    Check the assigned roles

    Open the member’s profile to confirm the roles were applied.
