Prepare the roles

  • Use a low-risk role designed for new members.
  • Move Stoatmod above the role.
  • Grant Assign Roles and Manage Roles.
  • Copy the exact role ID.
  • Keep privileged roles out of automatic assignment.

Configure the list

  1. 01

    Audit setup

    Resolve permission and hierarchy problems.

    ~setup
  2. 02

    Add the role

    Repeat for each required role.

    ~auto-role add ROLE_ID
  3. 03

    Review the list

Confirm there are no obsolete or duplicated intentions.

    ~auto-role list
  4. 04

    Test a new join

Use a controlled account because the flow runs when the member joins.

Verify and troubleshoot

  • Inspect the member's roles directly.
  • Compare every configured ID with the actual role.
  • Check the bot role did not move below the target.
  • Review audit details for unavailable or hierarchy-blocked roles.
  • Remove obsolete roles rather than leaving repeated failures.
