How image scanning works
Image scanning is experimental, may not be accurate, and is off by default. When a server owner enables it, qualifying uploads are checked only for severe graphic real-world violence and explicit sexual content. Ordinary image attachments over 10 MiB are skipped.
- Server-wide opt-in with per-channel overrides.
- The same observe, review and enforcement policy model used for content moderation.
- Moderator exemption applies by default.
- Provider or network failure leaves the content in place.

Set up image checks
- 01
Choose the response
Review which categories can act and the threshold for each.
- 02
Choose your channels
Set explicit overrides where uploads need different handling.
- 03
Try a controlled example
Check the workflow in a test channel before relying on it in a busy one.
- 04
